I recently my Christmas fireplace this week and I had plenty of people messaging me on Instagram asking about what I had on my TV that was displaying artwork for my pictures.
Fireplace Mantel and Favorite Holiday Decor
I don’t have a Frame TV (nor could I ever convince my husband that we NEED a new TV just to show pictures), but I love the look of turning that glaring black screen of a TV into a piece of art in your living room. When you’re entertaining or setting a little ambiance while sitting with your family, it truly does add something special to the room.
Do you need it? No.
Does it look better when people are displaying artwork on their TV? Yes.
Did I figure out a way to get artwork on your TV for free so we can all LOOK like we have a Frame TV without spending the money on one? Absolutely!
Today I’m sharing a quick idea to make your TV a little more festive this holiday season by displaying artwork without having to break the bank for a Frame TV to do so.
If you have a Smart TV of any kind, you more than likely have the YouTube app already on your device. We aren’t a big YouTube family, so this was something I actually did need to add to my Roku app list first, but most come with it already preloaded.
Click on your YouTube app and type “Vintage Christmas Art” into your search bar. Your results will be an array of hour long videos of beautiful still frames of Christmas artwork that will run on your TV screen for the amount of time of your video. Some will be just one photo continuously displayed while others will transition to a new photo every 10-15 minutes.
It’s a quick, easy way to bring a beautiful piece of art to your living room for FREE this holiday. From my calm living room TV to yours, I hope you can snag this idea and use it in your home this season!
