One of my favorite things to do is to find something I love, that’s knock your socks off beautiful, and then figure out how to get it for so. much. cheaper. I want my home to look put together, high-end, and with luxurious pieces mixed in with a casual, family-friendly style. But to achieve those high-end looks, you’re going to spend unless you get creative and search for equally high-quality pieces at a much lower price point.
This week, I’ve been creating DIY Pinch Pleat Curtains. By doing it myself with IKEA curtains, I’m creating a beautiful backdrop to the entire front of my house…for a FRACTION of the cost it would be to purchase from a store. It’s been a simple process and I’ll be sharing a full tutorial the next couple of days.
In the meantime, follow along on Instagram as I show you step by step how to achieve this style all on your own!

I shared some of my favorites on the market this week with my series Buy It Over Build It: Curtain and Curtain Rods, which I hope can be a great resource. I scour my favorites on the market and provide it for you to find a style that you love and would have a wonderful place in your own homes!
But what if you already have a great idea of what you want? You have it nailed down to fabric type or pattern, color or level of sheerness. I’VE GOT YOU!! I’m beginning a series today that will take high-end options with a variety of different colors, textures, or patterns, and I’ve found great dupes online for FAR LESS! The reviews are wonderful and the price points are even better.
