3 tips that make wallpaper not so tedious…

1. Use pre-pasted…always! The only supply you need is a spray bottle of water. Spray the backing, fold it up on itself for 2-3 minutes (called “booking”) and then smooth on the wall. You are able to slide the wallpaper around on the wall to line it up instead of pulling the whole sheet off (like peel and stick types) and you have the ability to rewet the paper if it dries too quickly on you!

2. Grab a set of extra utility blade and replace them OFTEN!! For this small hallway, I used SEVEN. As soon as the blade dulls, it can start to make jagged cuts and tear your paper. Switch them constantly for the smoothest finishes.

3. Buy samples and test for the quality of the paper first. There’s nothing worse than thin, low-quality paper. It will take time to get the sample shipped in, but being able to feel it first is worth it every single time!!
