I’ve been slowly decorating our house, but when the forecasters say there’s a blizzard in KC today, I booked it to get it all done. Nothing makes me happier, cozier, and never-gonna-leave-my-house-ier than Christmas lights and snow. So come get a little cozy at my Christmas Home Tour 2018.
I had to start with this darling sign I purchased from Small Woods recently. AND they are running a sale right now that you can get this sign as a 25″x17″ sign for just $35!! I added a few winter sprigs from Michael’s just to add a little dimension to it.
We decorated our Christmas tree this weekend and not to jinx a things, but…Colton hasn’t broken any ornaments yet. I know, I know. Totally going to have the tree knocked down and all our favorites crushed beyond recognition by breakfast tomorrow. 🙂
Where our Christmas tree stands used to have a wall separating the front room from our living room. Loving how open this space is now, and can’t get over the ability to see my kids from almost any space on the main level. Game. Changer! Eventually this area will be a “creative space” for my kids (playroom is in the basement…like the ENTIRE basement), but I’m just not ready to start purchasing it all yet. Ideas are still in the works for this room.
Like the fireplace? Such a simple, 30-minute project with supplies I had just lying around in the garage. Steal the idea here!
Willow Tree Nativity Set // Creche // Three Wise Men // Rope Mirror (Sold Out — similar sold here!)
We went with a shiplap, open shelving look surrounding our fireplace and I’m thrilled with the results! They aren’t evenly space to allow for larger items one the middle shelf. Nerve wracking decision but LOVING it!
Want to know what’s in that basket? TRUCKS! So many TRUCKS! I am not a fan of bulky storage shelves, but I also don’t want to deal with my little one’s toys all over the place. Don’t get me wrong…99% of the day, the trucks are all over the floor. But that 1% where I’ve put the kids to bed and done a quick clean-up, they fit so well in this 18″ high adorable basket.
I have a real fear that my little guys will climb up on my hearth and pull down the stockings, getting hit by the stocking holders. To solve it, I put the stockings on the shelves where they can’t reach and we can have them up all month long. Yes I know, I’m missing one. Where did Colton’s go since last Christmas?!? Tried to link them, but they are from two years ago at Crate and Barrel. If you’re in the market for some cute, new stockings, they are marked down to about $18 at Crate and Barrel today!
All my pillows are from Home Goods but linking some similar ones here, here, and here!
Advent Calendar – post coming soon about what I put in their advent calendar // Cake Stand // White Vases // Sign – DIY project from a thrift store frame!
Green Crate// Santa mugs // Pom Pom Garland // Hot Chocolate // Snowflake Marshmallows // Vintage Tin
One of my favorite kitchen pieces in my hot chocolate bar in the middle of my island. This will be completely dug into this afternoon after a morning playing in the snow!
Here’s to 30 more sleeps until Christmas. 🙂
