Mix and Matching Layered Doormats

All my projects lately have brought me outside in the sunshine with my little ones right by my side. After what seemed like a never ending winter, teamed up with a cold snap that was historical to say the least, I am thrilled to be outside again!

And the more we spend outside, the more I stare at my sparse little front porch and dream of a pretty floral setup again.

A few more weeks, a few more weeks, a few more…

So if I can’t pretty it up with flowers just yet, I’m going to do it with some updated doormats instead!

Today, I’m sharing some of the prettiest outdoor rugs and doormats on the market that make the perfect layered combination for your front porch this year. And with prices like these, you can make a major difference to your curb appeal without breaking the bank.

First step, the base layer. The 3′ x 5′ outdoor rug. Since I like to go a little more basic on the top doormat layer, it’s the perfect opportunity to go with bold patterns that will give the slightest pop and dimension to your space.

Next up, an adorable doormat that is sized slightly smaller than the outdoor rug. These can be as bright and colorful, or as simple and basic as you’d like. Don’t be afraid to mix and match patterns and colors here. These can make a huge impact for your front porch.

Aren’t they beautiful?!

Need to see how they can work well together?

The bold colors, the contrasting patterns, and the updated porch decor all make your space so welcoming, fun, and add a pop that will make every guest smile. Maybe we can’t be planting or landscaping just yet, but we can make a major change on our front porch by adding just a couple inexpensive touches.
