Time is a tickin’ on One Room Challenge and progress is being made on my laundry room! I hope you’re following along on Instagram and my Instagram stories because the progress is unfolding right before my very eyes and you can have a front row seat to it all!
This week, I painted…ahem…repainted…my cabinets,

installed them,

hung the doors,

ordered hardware from Amerock…
**They’re having a 20% off sale on all their hardware from now until June 6th**

and began tiling the left wall with my beveled subway tiles.

My sweet Mya never far away and watching her mama do something she has no prior experience doing, making mistakes along the way, pushing herself, and making a dream come true.
It’s the progress I needed to have happen. With a trip planned away in Pennsylvania to visit family for four days this week and then time to just be with my little ones and husband again when I get back, I knew I had to book it through some big projects Week Five. Week Six is going to be slower, a more of the behind the scenes ordering and planning. So let’s smile through the big gains this week and give grace for next.
And just think, only three weeks away from the reveal!
Goals for Week SIX:
- Finish tiling left wall
- Grout tile
- Plan and purchase ceiling trimwork
- Plan and purchase crown moulding
- Detail plans and purchase materials for utility sink cabinet
- Get ready for a whirlwind the last couple weeks of the ORC!
If you aren’t following along with all the creators, innovators, and amazing designers on the One Room Challenge blog, you’re missing out BIG! What. A. Group! Keep doing beautiful work and inspiring me daily, everyone!

Week One // Week Two // Week Three // Week Four
xx Rachel
LOVE the paint colour you choose for the cabinets, Rachel! Also, thanks for the heads on on the hardware sale – still need to source hardware for my office. All the best in week 6!
