Anyone else still struggling to write the correct year, even though it’s January 29th?! Guilty. Just did it. Just now. 🤦♀️
So now that I’m caught up to the right year, I’m excited to share just a little of this and a little of that, mixed in with a whole lot of Mya (because who can resist that little 6 week old pumpkin!), with today’s edition of What’s Up Wednesday! So here’s what’s up with the Kemper crew this Wednesday!
What We’re Eating this Week:
Did you catch my other post this morning? I made two batches of a Panera copycat Broccoli Cheddar Soup yesterday…one for me and one for Jackson’s preschool teachers for a little winter teacher appreciation. I just felt like I had to share all the cheesy goodness that comes in a bowl with you, too.

A 30-minute soup that can serve a crowd or be reheated for some amazing winter lunches. Serve it up with warm bread and enjoy this comfort food meal for all the winter days ahead of us.
What I’m Reminiscing About:
We got Mya’s newborn photos back recently and I’ve got all the emotions tied up in them.

She’s already changed so much, she’s getting stronger and “talking” up a storm. She’s becoming a baby. No longer this little 7 pound newborn. She’s becoming a BABY. I’m just not ready to give it all up yet.
Knowing that she’s my very last, I’m having a hard time letting go of any of her stages. So I’ll sit and stare at the beautiful photos by Joyce at Bundles Photography, and the ones by Kayla Alden that did our boys newborn photos, awhile longer, and reminisce about all my little babe’s that are getting bigger and more independent daily. 😪

What I’m Loving:
I’ve actually been really in love with a lot of things lately and shared five of those favorites on a Friday Favorites post last week. Beauty finds, a camo sweatshirt with such a great message, and even a baby product that I will now forever use on my three kids. Check it out to maybe even find a favorite for you, too!

But I also wanted to share an Initial Necklace that Jerod got me for Christmas this year.

A dainty gold necklace with my three babe’s initials. Knocked it out of the park, right?
What We’ve Been Up To:
A lot of Mya snuggles…

Mixed with Jackson starting another round of soccer (Go Royal Blue Jays!)

A little potty training (because what else do we have going on?! 😉)

Finished off with all the excitement for our KC Chiefs to head to the Super Bowl on Sunday!!

What I’m Working On:
Some February goodies to share with you! I’ve got some great ideas for some cute Valentine’s for kids to pass out to their friends, I’ve got a great Valentine’s treat, and I may even have a home remodel project up my sleeve.
And did you catch my February Cleaning and Organization Challenge I posted on Monday? Tackle one 15-minute project each day for the month of February to get your spring cleaning done and over with before March even starts. Let’s save the warm days for being outside instead of cleaning our houses!
Print the calendar off (printable link in the post), tack it up somewhere to keep you accountable, and let’s do this together!

What I’m Reading:
I’m so excited to share my first What I’m Reading this Month post THIS FRIDAY! I read constantly and never seem to share all the goodies I stumble across. So starting this Friday, I’m going to be giving an honest book review of the books I’ve been reading this month.
This month, I’ve read 3 fiction books, 1 devotional, and 1 bible study I can’t wait to give you my review on. And here’s a clue: I think one of the books may be one of my favorite books of all time and another one I had to force myself to pick up and read at all.
Check back on Friday!
What I’m Wearing:
Well since I had a babe six weeks ago, I’m still pretty consistently wearing leggings all day, everyday. 🙂
But to add to the cozy factor, I’ve gotten two pairs of slippers lately that I’ve been LOVING!

The pink Microsuede Moccasin Slippers are amazing because they fit SO WELL to your feet and don’t slip around when you’re walking all around your house. They remind me so much of the Ugg slippers but for a fraction of the cost at just $30 (but always check Kohl’s for deals!) And can they kind of count as a shoe because they have an amazing sole? Just asking for a friend. 🙂
The grey Memory Foam Slip-ons are rated incredibly well on Amazon and for such good reason! It’s like you’re walking around on a cloud. Love these and love the price at just $19!
I’ll splurge on some great spring finds soon, but for now, I’ll just hang out inside in these. 🙂
What We’re Doing This Weekend:
It’s all about those KC Chiefs this weekend!!

On Friday I’m going to take the kids to all these great spots around KC to get their photos taken. Sounds silly and maybe a lot of work, but our city has so fiercely rallied around this team and have some great murals and signs blanketing the area.

I don’t want them to come and go without some pictures first. Who knows when we’ll be back the Super Bowl so I want the boys to get some great memories with them now.
What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:
Hopefully a Chiefs Championship parade! ❤🖤
Happy Wednesday, everyone!
The baby pictures are beyond cute! I’m living in my slippers this month too. I just want to be cozy while the weather is cold.
Thanks! And I’m so with you. Cozy is the name of the game when it’s cold outside! Spring will make stop wearing them, right? 😉
